Concerning status effects and such
« on: April 19, 2012, 12:06:16 AM »
I know I promised (or at least insinuated as such) to have this done by a reasonable amount of time into 2012; however, I've been really busy with the expected classwork and such this semester, and I don't see myself getting back into getting status effects and such for some time.  Part of that is due to the fact that I would have to beat the entire game at a really low framerate, and have to run the debug version (which has a couple minutes' startup time and ULTRA-low framerate) every time I come across a new enemy, and I really don't have the patience for that when there's a ton going on and I have other projects I'm working on in my time off.

However, if anyone were to make savestates right before each non-recurring enemy from Magnus von Grapple 1 onward (not including Bonetail), then I would certainly oblige to finish it within a reasonable amount of time.  I know that's asking a lot and that other people are busy as well, but I don't see any way I'll feel like tackling the rest of the game any time soon, and I hate being (as far as I know) the ONLY person that knows how to get the data and not doing anything about it.

I believe I'm the prime candidate, correct?

Before I go out and play though TTYD for save states, I would like to know three things:
A) The version of Dolphin you're using
B) The version of TTYD you're using
C) If you're using HLE or LLE audio

Given this, I should be able to recreate proper save states for you.

Fair enough, for sure; I'm using r7168M, TTYD version G8ME01 USA (dated 5-21-2004), and HLE audio.  If memory-card saves are smaller in file-size than straight-up savestates, I'd be fine with working with those instead.

And please, take your time if you do decide to play through it; I probably won't have much spare time before the end of the month anyway.
