Minecraft error: Bad Video Card Drivers

minecraft refuses to work for my computer here is exactly what it tells me if i try to run it somebody please tell me if you have experianced the same issue

 Bad video card drivers!

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

You're best bet would be to update the drivers to your graphics card. To get you started:

  • Press start
  • In the text bar type dxdiag in the text box
  • dxdiag is Microsoft's multimedia test program which will identify the graphics card or chipset.

From there, you can google search the graphics card or chipset for the latest drivers. Hopefully, up to date drivers work, and it isn't a problem with your opengl.

I can confirm that.  I actually updated my computer the other day and had the same issue.  Follow ML's advice, it should work.

Actually, he's using Windows XP, Miles, not Windows 7.

What you do is:
Start->Run
Type: dxdiag

yeah I have the website except I cant download anything because my computer will freeze during each atempt.

Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express
thats what I search in google the website says they have stopped making updates for this but I'm not sure if I have the most current one
EDIT: dxdiag may have cut off Chipset Family after Express I'm unsure about that

Looks like you have an onboard graphics card. Here's what you need to do.

You'll need to go to your computer's manufacturer's website. Somewhere on your computer is a serial number that uniquely identifies your computer. Search on your computer's manufacturer's website for that serial number. You should be able to find a support page specific to your computer. From there, you should be able to find the latest drivers for your video card.

If you can't find it, tell us the brand and model of your computer so we can help you find the drivers.

Ok I've fixed the issue I'm not sure if I affected anything else but I'll post if anything irregular happens
