A Super Mario Thing
« on: January 12, 2011, 04:45:47 PM »
A well designed rom hack (In my opinion.) Fairly easy at the start, but gets challenging towards the end, but not Kaizo-esque. I would definitely recommend using save states, if not in the first world, then the rest.

I've played the hack a tad. Not very much, unfortunately, as I temporarily paused that to work on another hack that isn't quite as challenging, at least from what I can gather. A Super Mario Thing certainly was interesting, from what little I managed to play.

I watched raocow play this as he put it up. It's good, but I definitely saw the swerving difficulty. I also didn't like that the bonus world wasn't hard to find.
I've got nothing to say here.

I've seen SSOHPKC briefly play the game before he got into a big controversy over playing it. The rom hack is very well designed, and it had a charm that I don't think I've felt watching a Mario rom hack.

Also, the Yoshi chompers are so out of place they look cute.

I still think it's kinda sad Seamus quit playing it, but life moves on, I suppose.

I rather enjoyed the starman music they put in the hack, which wasn't really a starman, if memory serves. The music choice was generally good from what I heard in the hack.

true but they are apparently inside jokes and I'm assuming many people don't follow the maker of the rom hack but that may or may not matter

I enjoyed playing the hack, I knew nothing of the background of it. I'm sure I would enjoy watching Miles playing it.
