I'm unsure if I should post this topic or not, I figure it will get deleted if its considered advertising for some reason.

I've lately gotten extremely bored in my single player minecraft world, if anyone goes to a server without a whitelist, or owns a server, please post the IP here if you're willing enough to tell.

Actually it would be kind of fun to see someone with a decent computer on the forum make a minecraft server specifically for the use of this forum only, that would be awesome now that I think about it

THATS IT heres to the forum MAKE A MINECRAFT SERVER that we all can join the server where its just fun

and that way i can reopen a new map shop or at least an outlet of shads maps

Well miles just runs our server off his laptop, now granted his laptop has more than enough power to run the server effectively. You do notice some lag when more than 4-5 users are on the server at one time but this is minimal. This would be the limitation of our internet service provider and not on a dedicated LAN line. Miles would have to give me a speed test, which I will do as well.

I would set up a dedicated server box, with one limitation. My whole house is all wireless and I do not have anymore wireless cards handy nor would I have a server on a wireless connection. I do have the capability to set the box up in my basement directly into the router but its really not the best server box for minecraft. Ideally id like to have least 2 gig of memory, and about a duel/quad core.

If you guys are really looking for a server have to talk with miles and see what we can work out for you guys. We really never had a outcry for a server demand thus we have never talked about it. Have to play it by ear and see what I can come up with.

     

Well I am going to need a count of people that would be interested in joining the server.
Post here and once I have a count of people I can go from there.

Sorry miles I think I still need to talk to you first. I would rather our server stay the way it is now,(private) I would rather me host another server for these guys. I don't need a repeat of previous experiences. 

I have my server. It's currently theme-less, and runs 24/7, I wouldn't mind making this a public and forum-specific server. It can hold 20 people without lag.

hell id love to have a server where i can atleast use a camand other thain home ITS IRITATING oh well you id love to have a new server and hell miles and poptart id build you guys a castle there just give me a couple tools and some torches and ill do a little dig hope you guys like the look of cobble and btw all i need to build an empire is 1 sapling thats all throw me in a desert with 1 block of dirt and a sapling and ill make my empire anyway i hope you guys can get a server up so i can do this id love to open a branch of shads maps well thats mostly it from me i would make a server if i could well poptart miles make a server and ill make u an empire deal
